MEMBERSHIP
Do you offer memberships for shorter periods of time, for example, a half-year membership?
We only offer memberships for the full calendar year at the price of 50 euros. We offer many activities, events, and member benefits throughout the year, so we believe this is great value even if you join in the middle of the year.
I don’t have a dutch bank card; are there other ways to pay my membership fee?
In our membership portal you can only pay with iDEAL. If you can’t pay through iDEAL, please reach out to membership@atac-club.nl and we’ll surely find a solution.
Can I try out a training session before signing up?
We’re not currently able to accommodate taster sessions for potential joiners. We’ve grown significantly as a club over the past years and are focusing on our members. We are still open to new members though!
Note that only paid members can RSVP for events on the meetup page. Once you are a paid member, you will have access to the meetup page.
When will my membership be renewed?
We will send you an email to remind you about the upcoming renewal and to check your information in November. If you do nothing, your membership is renewed automatically and we will deduct the membership fee via automatic incasso in January.
What do I need to do to cancel my membership?
You can cancel your membership by sending an email to membership@atac-club.nl before December 31.
Can I join your Meetup group without being a member of ATAC?
Only active members that paid the membership fee can join the Meetup group, RSVP for events, and create events on the Meetup page. Once you paid your membership fee, you can request access and we will approve your access to the group right away.
NTB / Triathlon RACING LICENSE
What are the advantages of having a NTB license?
The NTB license comprises of two parts, basic membership and athletics license. You need to have the first one in order to apply for the second (used in triathlon races)
This is particularly important if you are racing in the Netherlands or abroad where a day license is required. Day licenses cost around 25EUR a time, so if you plan to race more than once in a calendar year, it's wise to get an NTB license
Furthermore an NTB license grants a free basic KNWU (National Roadbike Union) license (to participate in fun races, MTB and cyclo cross) but not as part of ATAC club. Further info can be found here: NTB Website.
The NTB License grants a free license to the Dutch Athletics Union as well. Meaning you won't have to start behind the business participants of the Dam-to-Dam run. Just sign up for the official race, quite a nice advantage! More information on this, click here.
How do I apply for a competition license?
If you want a competition license for this year, you can apply now. Here's how:
Step 1 - Create your personal profile with the NTB
Log in https://mijn.triathlonbond.nl/registreren and create your own profile. You will get a profile ID.
Step 2 - Communicate your ID number to ATAC
Once step one is completed, please send an email with the ID number to Atac.triathlon@gmail.com.
This step is needed to connect your profile with ATAC club and get you the basic membership.
Step 3 - Buy basic membership on ATAC web shop
Please now go to the ATAC web shop (click here) and purchase the basic membership for a cost of 39.7EUR. Please attach purchase confirmation in the same email with your ID (as in Step 2)
Step 4 - Apply for a license
You can request (renew) a license at mijntriathlonNL.
When you are logged in, follow the steps below:
In the left menu go to Mijn Account and then in the submenu go to LICENTIES.
Go to LICENTIE AANVRAGEN.
Choose WEDSTRIJDLICENTIE.
Follow the steps in the system (choose year, license type, Select ATAC as a club, replace / upload your passport photo if necessary, check your details) and pay via iDeal. The cost for this is 29EUR.

Can I order an NTB license without being a member?
No. You need to be an active ATAC member to obtain your NTB license via ATAC. That also means that if you renew your NTB license for the next year, you cannot cancel your membership.
How can I add a photo to my proof of license?
You can add a photo on your personal profile (“mijn gegevens”) and then go to the tab “Lidmaatschapsbewijs”. There you first click on “Lidmaatschapsbewijs vernieuwen” to use the picture and your latest details. Then you can download your license by clicking “>> Download lidmaatschapsbewijs”.
I renewed my license; why is my proof of license on the NTB website is still from the previous year?
The NTB website is not the most modern – you need to update your proof of license by clicking on “ >> Lidmaatschapsbewijs vernieuwen”. After that your license should be the one for the current year.
What do I need to do to cancel my NTB license?
You can cancel your NTB license by sending an email to membership@atac-club.nl before noon on November 29.
What do I need to do to renew my NTB license?
Nothing, except for making sure that your account information and personal details are correct. Your NTB license will be renewed automatically if you do not cancel before November 29 at noon. We will send you in email to remind you about the upcoming renewal and to check your information in November and deduct the membership fee via automatic incasso in January.
When is my NTB license up for renewal?
Your NTB license will be renewed automatically if you do not cancel before November 29 at noon.
KNWU Cycling license
Now you can also be a member of KNWU as member of ATAC Club:
ATAC is now a member of KNWU which means our members can participate in cycling events across a wide range of cycling activities from road to track to cyclo-cross etc.
Interested? head to https://www.knwu.nl/ (in Dutch only) and if you are interested in joining individual or group events under ATAC club, please register yourself as member and email you ID number to atac.triathlon@gmail.com so that your ID is associated with ATAC club.
Being attached to a club in KNWU will cost members 7 Euro per calendar year which is charged to ATAC and will be recharged to members affiliated on a yearly basis.
You will also need a license to race, this range from "Startlicentie" for basic races to "Amateur" or "Sportklasse" to "Elite" etc where you can enter for example all national CX races. However for training races like the usual Crits at Sloten, an "Amateur" license would be enough. they come with different price range that athletes can apply for directly in KNWU portal.
As we explore the opportunity and get more familiarized with KNWU events, more details will be shared to all members via the usual channels.
WEBSHOP
I don’t have a credit card; do you offer alternative payment options?
In our webshop you can pay with all major credit cards as well as iDeal for most things.
Certain items are sold out, when will they be restocked?
Once or twice a season we restock the cycling kit, running shirts and trisuits. Keep an eye for announcements on our Whatsapp Group.
When will my items be delivered?
You will receive an email on when and where you can pick up your item. Do have some patience as we usually wait for a larger group of members to pick up their orders.
Can I try out items before I buy?
Normally we do not organise session to try out items, but if we do organise them, we advertise them on our Facebook page and / or MeetUp page
